 what is radiation technology ?

– radiation is the branch of physics. 
it is used in medical field, nuclear rector, defence & many areas. 
 radiation is mostly two type
 1. ionising radiation 2. non ionising radiation

   (1) ionising radiation :- most of the radiation is ionised. alpha rays, beta rays, gamma rays, & x rays are ionised. 
 it is used in dignosis and treatment of disease in medical it is used for energy production in nuclear reactor alpha rays can't penetrate to paper but beta rays penetrate to paper and stop by plastic xrays and gamma rays pentrate to body tissue and plastic but absorbed by lead sheat or wall ionising radiation is create harmful effect on humens or living creature
  it produce two type effect on body 
1 accute effect 2 cronic effect 
they are loss to fertility in males and females . the worker of radiation field is suggest to take proper protection. and read rules and regulations of local control athority ( atomic energy regulatory board AERB in india is control on all work of radiation)

 (2) non ionisng radiation :--it is mostly used in mobile towers. it's effect on human body is very low. but they effect

 It is also called ultra Sonography (USG). Sound is a form of energy resulting in form transmission of mechanical vibrations through a  medium. Ultrasound is a sound having frequencies greater than20,000 Hz, which can't be detected by human ear. Ultrasound used to formation of images from static and moving organs. Basic of ultrasound  Propagation of ultrasound US is produced by piezoelectric effect and it travels in straight line in a medium, in the form of wave with compression and rarefaction. Diagnostic ultrasound uses 1-20 MHz frequency. Sound waves travel faster in solids and slower in gases. The average velocity in soft tissue is 1540 m/sec. The intensity of ultrasound is a measure of beam energy and is proportional to the square of the amplitude. It expressed in watts per mm².
